Electromagnetic Flow Meter is an instrument used to measure the flow of conductive liquid.  It uses Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction to determine the flow rate by measuring the induced electromotive force generated when a conducting liquid moves in a magnetic field.  Electromagnetic Flow Meter is composed of two parts: sensor and transmitter.  

Sensor is the core component of electromagnetic flow meter, which is usually composed of electromagnetic coil and measuring tube.  The electromagnetic coil generates a strong magnetic field, and when the conductive liquid passes through the measuring tube, the charge in the liquid is subjected to the force of the magnetic field to produce a velocity.  According to Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction, the relative motion of the velocity and the magnetic field generates an induced electromotive force, and by measuring the size of this electromotive force, the size of the flow can be determined.  

The transmitter is the signal processing part of the electromagnetic flow meter, which is usually composed of an amplifier, a filter and an AD converter.  The transmitter amplifies the weak electrical signal generated by the sensor, filters it, and then converts it into a standard current or voltage signal output.  These signals can be monitored and controlled in real time through displays, loggers or control systems.
